Fibromyalgia (FM) and chronic pain sufferers and their loved ones are invited to come and join our Support Group.

At our monthly meetings we share the latest information, books, newsletters and articles or just speak with others who understand. The atmosphere is extremely up-beat; there is laughter and jokes during our informal pot luck meetings (food contribution optional).

We meet the last Thursday of each month at 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m.,except for the months of July, August and December.

Our monthly meetings are held at:

Fisher Heights Child Care and Recreation Facility
Recreation Room "A", 2nd Floor
1026 Baseline Road (East of Merivale Road)
Ottawa, ON

Information binders and books on FM can be borrowed for four weeks at a time with a small refundable deposit fee.

FM guest speakers address the Support Group when possible.
The Group is led by a rotating roster of the volunteer coordinators
Cost of membership is $12.00/year (membership year is from September to August) or $2/meeting. The money is used to upgrade and maintain our information binders and to buy new FM resource materials as well as support our web page and blog. Those who cannot pay the cost of membership are asked to contact one of the coordinators. No one will be turned away.

The Ottawa Fibromyalgia Support Group meeting dates for 2011/12 have been set by your coordinators, and we request you mark your calendars now so you don't miss anything.
